"Ueyama Tochi's fourth serving of manga cooking"

At the Kyoto International Manga Museum, manga is not limited to a mere paper media; rather, it can be seen as an entire culture to be embraced as a whole. During the Kyoto Manga Festa 2011, a diverse range of events will be held with themes based on other areas of the arts, the culture of life and collaborative manga. We will be running hands-on experience events that engage all five senses (sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch) like "Manga and Music" and "Manga and Cooking". We would like to invite you to gain a sense of the spread of manga culture and its possibilities.

Ueyama Tochi, author of Cooking Papa, the famous popular cooking manga that features practical cooking instructions, returns again this year for a cooking performance and lecture.
