Non-Art Cosplay Photography Exhibition
In recent years, Japanese manga and anime has grown increasingly popular gaining more fans overseas and representing Japanese culture. Cosplay (impersonating a character) is popular among many people both in Japan and overseas. Costume creation, expression and acting have also been influential to theatrical performances and musicals.
Recently, camera men (know as Kameko) have not only started featuring cos-players but have also produced high-quality works of them.
At this exhibition, the Kyoto International Manga Museum is showing paneled works based on the photobook "Non-Art Cosplay Photography" with 9 photographers who represented their photo works as refined arts. Please come and immerse yourself in the view of beautiful world.
