The World of Girls' Comics
Genga'(Dash)'s Ten Year Trajectory
The Genga' (Dash) Project consists of elaborate replicas of original manga manuscripts, and was carried out under the supervision of manga artist Takemiya Keiko and the Kyoto Seika University International Manga Research Center (IMRC, based at the Kyoto International Manga Museum). It combines the twin aims of preserving original manga manuscripts from fading, and exhibiting them in all their colorful glory. It was started in 2001 and is now celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Now that Japanese manga are getting more and more attention overseas, we are often invited to exhibit abroad. Until now, many authors feared that their art might get damaged or lost when shipped to overseas locations. The Genga' (Dash) project has helped to solve this problem. We would like to continue exhibiting abroad.
