The L'Institute Franco-Japonaise du Kansai, Villa Kujoyama is a facility run by the French Foreign Ministry together with France Culture, managed by L'Institute Franco-Japonaise du Kansai.
Opened in 1992, it is a facility where artists and scholars who have already gained critical acclaim in France can stay from four to twelve months. After a strict selection procedure those selected, while trying to fit into the reality of Japan, all work on their own projects.
