Tita Larasati began to draw comics on a daily basis when she was studying in The Netherlands. After her return to Indonesia, she co-founded the independent publication company named Curhat Anak Bangsa (CAB). Since then she has been promoting the new genre of graphic diary as both an artist and a publisher. Her work is
grounded in Indonesian society, especially the local reality of women, but at the same time also an increasingly renowned part of the global comics culture. |
