Online academic journal edited and published by the International Manga Research Center at Kyoto Seika University!!
On June 1, 2025, Manga Studies, an online academic journal edited and published by the International Manga Research Center (IMRC) at Kyoto Seika University, was launched! The IMRC serves as the academic arm of the Kyoto International Manga Museum.
The special theme of Volume 1 is "Rethinking Manga History".

In this journal, key scholarly articles on manga studies written in Japanese and English will be translated and made available in both languages. Volume 2, scheduled for publication in 2026, is also planned to include peer-reviewed articles. A call for submissions is expected to begin sometime in 2025.
